Leidos QTC Health Services is seeking aΒ Tableau Server Administrator on our Innovation and Data Team. This role will support all programs, depts – at the enterprise level, to stand up and maintain multiple Tableau Server instances for internal operations and external clients’ use.Β  Activities include but not limited to: user/site management, monitoring usage, backups, upgrades, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring secure, efficient data access for insightful visualization.

This position is fully remote, with a preference for candidates located in the Eastern Time Zone.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Configuration: Deploying and setting up Tableau Server, configuring nodes for scalability, high availability, and integrating with identity providers (like Active Directory).
  • User & Permissions Management: Creating/managing users, groups, and sites; assigning roles (Viewer, Explorer, Creator); controlling content access (projects, workbooks, data sources).
  • Security & Governance: Implementing SSO, SSL, data encryption; ensuring compliance; managing licenses.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitoring server health (CPU, memory), tuning extracts, Prep Flows, background processes, and analyzing usage for bottlenecks.
  • Data Management: Establishing secure database connections, managing live/extract data sources, scheduling refreshes.
  • Maintenance & Support: Performing backups, disaster recovery, software upgrades, and troubleshooting user/server issues.
  • Assist with analytics and reporting requests as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Computer Science. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeΒ 
  • 5+ years of direct experience in management of Tableau Server environment.
  • Mastery of Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep Builder, and Tableau Server/Cloud
  • Salesforce Certified Tableau Server Administrator Certification
  • Proficient in SQL, database management, scripting (Python/PowerShell), and security (AD/SAML)
  • Knowledgeable in the infrastructure setup of Tableau Server environment, Data Warehousing, and Data Analytics within Tableau.
  • Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation
