Job Goal:
The Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) Data Specialist supports ESC Region 6 and component districts by managing, validating, and reporting data related to the Texas Teacher Incentive Allotment. This position ensures data accuracy, compliance with Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements, and effective implementation of local designation systems through data analysis, technical assistance, and training.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelorβs degree in education, data analytics, information systems, or a related field
- Experience working with education data or large datasets
- Experience supporting school districts or education programs preferred
- Experience with the Texas Teacher Incentive Allotment or local designation systems preferred
Special Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of education data systems and data management practices
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and data tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets)
- Ability to analyze, interpret, and present data clearly to multiple audiences
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with district and ESC staff
Major Responsibilities
- Collect, manage, validate, and analyze TIA-related data to ensure accuracy and compliance with TEA requirements
- Support districts with TIA data submissions, verification processes, and reporting timelines
- Develop and maintain data documentation, protocols, templates, and reporting tools
- Conduct data quality checks and assist with audits and continuous improvement efforts
- Provide technical assistance and training to districts related to TIA data requirements and best practices
- Collaborate with ESC Region 6 staff to align data processes with program goals and district needs
- Monitor TEA guidance, rules, and updates related to the Teacher Incentive Allotment
- Prepare reports, summaries, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Perform other duties as assigned
