Your Impact

As a Telecom Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable intelligence to support Outside Plant (OSP) engineering initiatives. By developing automated solutions, managing datasets, and delivering strategic insights, you will help drive efficient planning, construction, and maintenance of broadband infrastructure. Your technical acumen and automation expertise will streamline reporting, optimize capital allocation, and elevate the performance of engineering and operational teams.

Core Responsibilities

Data Collection & Management

  • Compile and manage telecommunications datasets, including fiber routes, permits, construction timelines, and costs.

  • Maintain SharePoint repositories and ensure data consistency and integrity across platforms.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze large datasets to detect trends, flag issues, and generate predictive insights.

  • Design and deploy advanced reports and dashboards using Power BI and Excel to support engineering operations.

  • Present insights to cross-functional teams with a focus on clarity, impact, and actionability.

Strategic Planning & Financial Oversight

  • Identify cost-saving and process optimization opportunities in broadband projects.

  • Support budget forecasting and capital expenditure planning using data modeling and scenario analysis.

  • Monitor and report on key technical and financial metrics to inform strategic decision-making.

Process Automation & Optimization

  • Develop automation workflows using Power Automate and PowerApps to improve efficiency and data reliability.

  • Establish best practices for data governance, security, and reporting consistency.

  • Continuously enhance reporting frameworks and analytics cycles for scalability and performance.

Core Experience

Education & Industry Background

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or systems integration within telecom, broadband, or OSP engineering environments.

Technical Skills

  • Power BI: Proficient in DAX, data modeling, and creating interactive dashboards.

  • Excel: Expert-level skills including Power Query, pivot tables, advanced formulas, and VBA macros.

  • SharePoint: Strong experience in managing content, workflows, and collaboration sites.

  • PowerApps & Power Automate: Capable of building user-friendly apps and automation flows.

  • SQL: Familiarity with querying and managing relational databases.

  • Python (Basic): Ability to write simple scripts for data manipulation or automation.

Telecom Industry Knowledge

  • Understanding of OSP engineering principles and telecom infrastructure.

  • Familiarity with fiber optic design, construction scheduling, permitting, and project costing.

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication and visualization skills for translating complex data into stakeholder-ready formats.

  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and continuous improvement mindset.

  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote-first environment.
