    MA/00 starting salary is $61,898/year,
    Salary schedule based on Teacher contract, previous teaching experience and education.

    POSITION SUMMARY:
    The Academic Success Coach will develop and monitor student academic achievement plans designed to increase student performance by utilizing multiple data measures to inform and formulate goal areas. As an advocate and champion for students, the coach will assist them in meeting educational goals while working collaboratively with teachers, principals, and families.

    This role includes serving as an instructional coach, focusing on the academic achievement of underperforming students by accelerating learning, providing job-embedded professional development, and forging collaborative partnerships with families to support student success. The Academic Success Coach will lead efforts related to student achievement, assessments, and data-driven instructional interventions, supporting multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) to ensure equitable access to high-quality learning opportunities. 
     
    PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
    1. Instructional Support & Student Achievement
      • Implement instructional strategies designed to increase student academic performance. 
      • Work in collaboration with classroom teachers to achieve intended academic outcomes for students. 
      • Engage student in the learning environment in meaningful ways to promote academic success. 
      • Support the implementation, monitoring, and review of instructional interventions within the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework. 
      • Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of specific instructional interventions at all tier levels within MTSS. 
      • Support the use of clear and relevant student identiication criteria for placement into a tiered model of instructional intervention programs. 
    2. Data-Driven Decision Making & Assessment Support
      • Work with the Principal and teachers to monitor student progress through the use of formative and summative data.  
      • Support the administration of site-based, district, and state assessments. 
      • Assist staff in analyzing and interpreting student progress and trend data using the district's data systems. 
      • Facilitate conversations and collaboration among all stakeholders for the purpose of using assessments and data to drive instructional decisions. 
      • Serve on the building assessment team to support schoolwide assessment initiatives. 
    3. Teacher Support & Professional Development
      • Incorporate relevant professional learning opportunities for teachers. 
      • Provide job-embedded professional development that supports data-driven instruction and intervention strategies. 
      • Collaborate with teachers to enhance instructional practices that accelerate student learning. 
    4. Family & Community Engagement
      • Work with teachers and families to review and develop student goals. 
      • Build collaborative partnerships with families to ensure students receive targeted academic support both in and out of school. 
    5. Schoolwide Collaboration & Leadership
      • Support the school's academic goals and student achievement efforts. 
      • Serve as a liaison between administration, teachers, students, and families to promote student success. 
      • Lead efforts related to MTSS, student achievement, assessments, and data-driven instructional interventions. 
      • Contribute to the development and evaluation of schoolwide academic policies and improvement plans. 
      • Support the process of student course movement within the course registration portal 
      • Other duties as assigned 
    JOB SPECIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, LICENSE, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES):
     
    Required:
    1. Masters in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field
    2. Current Minnesota Teaching License, School counseling license, school social work license or other education license.
    3. Understanding of Data Driven Decision Making Model
    4. Knowledge of research and best practices in increasing student academic performance.
    5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    6. Prompt, regular and reliable attendance.
    7. Communicates with students, parents, co-workers, supervisors, and the community in a positive and responsive way that is consistently welcoming and enhances effective work relationships.
    8.  Demonstrates an appreciation of diversity in all interactions and job functions.
