POSITION TITLE:Β Data Specialist Intern

Organization: Cradle to Career Partnership (C2C) at the United Way of Tucson and
Southern Arizona (UWTSA)

Location:
330 N. Commerce Park Loop, Tucson, AZ 85745

Β SALARY:Β Hourly, $17.00/hour

Please note:Β This position is only available to active and enrolled Pima Community College students with work authorization status.

Overview:
C2C is seeking a detail-oriented and curious intern to support our data analysis and reporting efforts. This position is ideal for someone interested in data cleaning, visualization, and basic analytics to inform systems-level work in education, youth development, and workforce pathways.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with cleaning and organizing datasets using tools such as R, Python, or Excel
  • Support database management, including entry, maintenance, and documentation  
  • Create basic data visualizations using Excel, Power BI, or PowerPoint
  • Help prepare presentations and reports for internal and external audiences
  • Apply descriptive statistics to interpret and summarize key data points
  • Collaborate with the C2C team to ensure data accuracy and clarity in communication


Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience or interest in data cleaning (R, Python, or Excel)
  • Experience or interest in database management practices
  • Experience or interest in data visualization using Excel, Power BI, or PowerPoint
  • General understanding of descriptive statistics (mean, median, percentages, etc.)
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn new tools
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

HOURS NEEDED

  • Up to 19.5 hours a week
  • Work must be completed during office hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

      ‒ Once all forms are submitted, you and your supervisor will be notified of your start date
