The Business Intelligence & Tableau Developer is a strategic analytics leader responsible for designing, optimizing, and scaling enterprise dashboards and scorecards that drive performance across the Bakery organization.
This role focuses on transforming business questions into intuitive, actionable Tableau experiences that empower leaders to make faster, smarter decisions. You will partner closely with stakeholders across Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Technology to standardize KPIs, enhance scorecards, and elevate the overall analytics experience.
This position is based in Dallas, TX and requires presence in the office at least three days per week.
Key Objectives
- Lead the design and optimization of enterprise Tableau dashboards and executive scorecards.
- Establish standardized KPI definitions and visual governance across departments.
- Elevate data storytelling and user experience in analytics deliverables.
- Translate complex data into intuitive, performance-driven insights.
- Improve dashboard adoption, usability, and decision-making impact.
- Drive continuous improvement of BI visualization standards and best practices.
Accountabilities / Core Duties
- Serve as the internal Tableau subject matter expert and visualization thought leader.
- Design, build, and maintain high-impact dashboards and scorecards in Tableau.
- Optimize existing dashboards for performance, clarity, and business relevance.
- Partner with stakeholders to define KPIs, business logic, and metric alignment.
- Lead dashboard standardization initiatives to ensure consistency across the Bakery.
- Conduct dashboard audits to eliminate redundancy and improve usability.
- Implement Tableau performance tuning best practices (extract optimization, data blending strategies, LOD calculations, etc.).
- Develop executive-ready scorecards that clearly communicate trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Create governance standards for visual design, naming conventions, and metric definitions.
- Provide training and guidance to business users on effective dashboard usage.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure clean, reliable, and analytics-ready datasets (without owning backend architecture).

- Advanced Tableau expertise (desktop and server), including:
- Complex calculated fields and LOD expressions
- Dashboard actions and interactivity
- Performance optimization techniques
- Executive-level dashboard design
- Strong SQL proficiency for querying and validating data.
- Deep understanding of KPI design and performance scorecards.
- Experience designing role-based dashboards (executive, regional, operational).
- Strong data storytelling and visualization best practices.
- Familiarity with Snowflake or modern data warehouses (collaborative, not architectural ownership).
- Strong stakeholder communication and requirement-gathering skills.

Education & Experience
- Bachelorβs degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or Data Visualization roles.
- 3+ years of hands-on Tableau development experience.
- Demonstrated success building enterprise dashboards used for operational or executive decision-making.
- Experience in a metrics-driven, multi-unit, or Private Equityβbacked organization preferred.
