Job Description

Our Client is seeking a Microsoft 365 & IP Telephony Specialist to support the governance, configuration, and adoption of Microsoft 365 applications, and ensure the reliability and compliance of enterprise IP telephony systems within a hybrid environment. This role requires technical expertise and business-facing collaboration, especially in safety-critical communication systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Microsoft 365 application configuration and lifecycle, developing and maintaining governance policies.
  • Design and recommend Microsoft Teams custom policies, channel structures, and permission settings.
  • Create and test conditional access policies (user stories, use cases, testing scenarios, feedback reporting).
  • Support business operations and user adoption across a hybrid IP telephony environment (SmartTAP, Cisco Jabber, Cisco Contact Centre, room devices).
  • Provide business support and analysis for IP telephony systems in power plant environments, ensuring high availability and compliance with safety-critical communication protocols.
  • Contribute to the design and oversight of call group configurations and emergency call routing, aligned with operational control room requirements and plant safety procedures.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to troubleshoot and optimize IP phone configurations in large-scale industrial environments.

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, governance, and lifecycle management.
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams policies, configurations, and permissions.
  • Expertise in conditional access policy design, testing, and rollout.
  • Hands-on experience with IP telephony systems, including SmartTAP, Cisco Jabber, and Cisco Contact Centre.
  • Ability to support business-critical communication systems in regulated, safety-sensitive environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across enterprise telephony and collaboration platforms.

Desired Skills

  • Experience configuring and maintaining Cisco Contact Centre solutions.
  • Familiarity with vendor evaluation and rollout of SmartTAP recording solutions.
  • Ability to serve as a liaison between IT, vendors, and business users for Microsoft 365 feature enablement.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
