Overview:

To secure an award, we are recruiting a highly experienced Business Analyst with an active TS/SCI Clearance to lead high-impact initiatives, provide strategic guidance, and drive process modernization across the enterprise. This role requires a blend of deep subject matter expertise, program management, and leadership to solve complex organizational challenges. The analyst operates with significant autonomy, advising senior leadership, mentoring team members, and ensuring the alignment of programs with strategic objectives. This position is central to enhancing GEOINT capabilities, improving business functions, and ensuring the successful execution of critical missions through expert analysis, process re-engineering, and stakeholder collaboration.

The Senior Business Analyst drives data-informed decision-making, process improvement, and strategic alignment that directly supports NGA’s ability to deliver timely and accurate GEOINT capabilities.

What You’ll Do:

Approach work with a strategic, analytical, and mission-focused mindset. Collaborate with government stakeholders to refine and document business requirements, clarify operational objectives, and assess organizational performance. Apply data analytics and business analysis techniques to identify inefficiencies, evaluate risks, and recommend solutions that improve processes, compliance, and mission outcomes. Lead or support process improvement initiatives, performance assessments, and strategic planning efforts. Develop briefings, reports, and decision support materials for senior leadership. Serve as an action officer as required, coordinating tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule in alignment with NGA priorities.


Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Provide senior program and project management support, including the development of strategic plans, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).Β 
  • Lead and advise on process improvement and re-engineering efforts, applying methodologies like Six Sigma and ITIL to modernize governance and business functions.Β 
  • Craft and deliver executive-level briefings, talking points, and strategic project plans to guide senior leadership decisions.Β 
  • Mentor team members on mission assurance, continuity planning, and the development of high-quality analytical products.Β 
  • Provide expert-level support for data visualization tools like Tableau to support business functions and leadership requirements.Β 
  • Support the design, development, and maintenance of SharePoint instances and other web-based tools, ensuring currency of information and refinement of utility.Β 
  • Represent the directorate for User Interface (UI) development, coordinate with IT on corporate updates, and proactively address functionality issues.Β 
  • Conduct in-depth analysis and assessment of metrics and data to provide actionable insights on organizational performance and strategic initiatives.Β 
  • Assist in the creation, update, and implementation of organizational strategies, policies, and performance metrics to measure progress against goals.Β 
  • Analyze, evaluate, and assess activities to develop recommendations for system and process improvements, optimization, and sustainment of GEOINT capabilities.Β 
  • Establish performance measures, monitor metrics, and analyze results to identify and implement performance-based improvements.Β 
  • Lead discussions at internal and external meetings, facilitate data-related working groups, and represent the organization to IC and DoD partners.
Requirements

Experience:

  • Junior Level: 1–5 years of experience supporting business analysis, SharePoint, UI/UX, data analysis, or web/content management functions.Β 
  • Mid-Level: 5–14 years of experience performing business analysis, program management, process improvement, or specialized domain support (e.g., IT, cybersecurity, RIM, enterprise architecture).Β 
  • Senior Level: 10–15+ years of experience leading complex, high-impact initiatives, providing strategic guidance, and advising senior leadership in a GEOINT, IC, or DoD environment.Β 
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, management, GEOINT, information technology, or a related technical field is preferred. Education requirements may be satisfied by equivalent experience for junior roles. Master’s degree or advanced certifications may be required or desired for senior-level positions.Β 
  • Core Competencies: Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to technical and non-technical audiences. Demonstrated ability to operate independently with increasing autonomy and accountability. Proven experience managing competing priorities in dynamic environmentsΒ 
  • Technical Proficiency: Proven experience managing competing priorities in dynamic environments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Advanced proficiency with tools such as SharePoint, Tableau, MS Visio, MS Project, JIRA, or similar platforms.Β 
  • Specialized Experience (as applicable): Experience in GEOINT, IC, or DoD mission environments. Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), CMMI, ISO, or related credentials. Experience supporting enterprise systems, audits, and governance frameworks. Familiarity with UI/UX principles and data visualization best practices.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • This position requires you to have an active TS/SCI Clearance. A government background investigation will be conducted on selected applicants to determine whether they qualify for access to classified information.

The pay range for this job is determined by various factors, including but not necessarily limited to location, responsibilities of the job, and alignment with market data. When determining a salary for this role, the following factors may be taken into consideration: contract-specific affordability, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.
