Title: Business Analyst

Supervisor: Director of Business Technology & Architecture

Status: Full-time Exempt

Location: Remote or Memphis, TN (Candidates in proximity to the headquarters location are required to work onsite, 4 days a week).

Position Summary

The Business Analyst serves as a key liaison among business users, technology teams, and external vendors to deliver efficient, well-documented, high-quality technology solutions aligned with organizational goals. This role partners with stakeholders across the organization to improve business processes, systems, and data management practices. Responsibilities include maintaining data quality and reporting accuracy, supporting system enhancements and integrations, documenting workflows and procedures, and providing training and support to staff and volunteers.

This is a full-time staff position that may be based at headquarters in Memphis, TN, or remote. The Business Analyst reports to the Director of Business Technology & Architecture.

Essential Functions

Business & Requirements Management

•  Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs, data needs, and system challenges.

•  Gather and document clear requirements, translate them into practical technology solutions, and help prioritize enhancement requests.

•  Maintain accurate documentation for requirements, workflows, support processes, and system functionality.

•  Serve as a liaison between internal teams and external vendors to ensure solutions meet organizational goals.

Project Execution & Implementation

• Lead or support projects involving systems, data, and process improvements in alignment with the technology roadmap.

• Coordinate activities, timelines, and deliverables with staff, volunteers, vendors, and development teams.

• Execute assigned technology requests, manage system rollouts, and ensure projects follow established development standards and backlog workflows

User Testing, Quality Assurance & Deployment

• Lead and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) for system changes and enhancements.

• Develop test plans, validate system functionality against documented requirements, and document issues for resolution.

• Perform data validation and ensure data flows accurately across systems.

• Support stakeholders through testing, deployment, and change management to ensure solutions are ready for launch and meet operational needs.

Data Management & Reporting

• Collect, organize, clean, and maintain data across enterprise systems.

• Manage or provide input for data permissions, oversee data quality control processes, and ensure reporting accuracy.

• Develop or support the maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.

• Lead recurring and ad hoc analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

• Support data governance practices and maintain data catalogs and documentation standards.

• Manage system configurations as needed to support system maintenance and project assignments.

Process Improvement & Optimization

• Analyze current business processes and supporting technologies to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.

• Document current and future state workflows, recommend automation and integration solutions, and lead or support implementation of improved processes.

• Present recommendations to stakeholders with clear impacts that move the organizational strategy forward.

• Monitor effectiveness and continuously refine systems and workflows to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Training, Support & Relationship Management

• Provide responsive, high-quality support to staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.

• Develop and deliver training materials and documentation for systems and tools.

• Build strong cross-functional relationships and communicate technical concepts clearly.

• Monitor system adoption and proactively identify opportunities to improve user experience and business value while balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.

• 4-6 years of experience with process improvement and requirements management.

• Experience supporting and implementing technology solutions in a cross-functional environment.

• Experience with form building and understanding of data flows between systems.

• Experience with data management in a CRM like Salesforce.

• Experience with building, testing, and maintaining analytics dashboards using tools like Tableau or Domo.

• Strong interest in process improvement, data analytics, and technology optimization.

• Membership in Kappa Delta is a plus.

• Project ownership: This role leads defined projects and workstreams with hands-on ownership of scope, schedule, and quality.

• This position may provide guidance to junior team members or project contributors and demonstrate emerging project leadership capabilities.

Typically requires 4–6 years of relevant professional experience, with demonstrated success in delivering projects and managing associated risks.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Must be able to operate a computer and navigate applications with a smartphone, computer, or tablet.

• Position may require prolonged periods of sitting.

• Some travel may be required.

• Must be able to use hands and arms for repetitive movement, such as movement of wrists, hands, and fingers while typing.

• Must be able to converse with colleagues via phone and computer programs.
