Brief Job Overview

The Data Strategy and Analytics team at USP is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our advanced analytics team. This role focuses on investigating business problems, developing and testing hypotheses, and leveraging data to generate actionable insights. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and business strategists, presenting findings to senior leadership to inform strategic decisions.

The Business Analyst, Advanced Analytics has the following responsibilities:

  • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for improvement through data-driven insights.
  • Develop and test hypotheses to address complex business challenges.
  • Perform descriptive and diagnostic analytics using company and industry data.
  • Create compelling data visualizations and dashboards using Tableau.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, and IT team to ensure project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and actionable outcomes.

Who is USP Looking For?

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of our mission, commitment to excellence through inclusive and equitable behaviors and practices, ability to quickly build credibility with stakeholders, along with the following competencies and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in business analytics or business reporting.
  • Intermediate SQL skills, including joins, unions, and aggregations.
  • Basic Python skills for data wrangling, exploratory analysis, and regression modeling.
  • Proficiency in Tableau, Power BI or other tools for data visualization and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to tell stories through data.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and collaboration.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.

Additional Desired Preferences

  • MBA or equivalent advanced business degree.
  • Preferred 3 years of python scripting experience
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, pharmacy, or healthcare industries.
  • Chemistry or general scientific background or education a plus.

Compensation

Base Salary Range: USD $87,200.00 – $113,450.00 annually.

Target Annual Bonus: % Varies based on level of role.

Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate’s skill set, experience, qualifications, equity, and other job-related reasons.
