The Business Analyst Consultant will play a key role in driving process modernization across the organization. In this role, you will apply proven process analysis, improvement, and reengineering methodologies to evaluate current-state operations and design optimized future‑state processes. You will lead end‑to‑end process redesign initiatives, requiring strong project management, organization, and coordination skills to guide solutions from initial assessment through full implementation.

Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement, and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.What you’ll do:
Work with business areas to understand current workflows, facilitating interviews, workshops, and discovery sessions to capture end‑to‑end processes and identify pain points, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
Lead process mapping activities, creating clear and accurate current‑state and future‑state process flows.
Apply Lean Six Sigma methodologies to analyze process performance, conduct root‑cause analysis, and quantify improvement opportunities that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, strengthen controls, and improve client experience.
Develop and recommend process improvement solutions, working closely with business and IT partners to evaluate alternatives, assess impacts, and ensure alignment with operational and strategic objectives.
Design and facilitate process‑reengineering initiatives from initial assessment through solution definition, future‑state design, and implementation planning.
Establish and track process performance measures, helping business areas define KPIs, monitor benefits realization, and ensure the sustainability of new or improved processes.
Produce high‑quality documentation, including process maps, requirements, analysis findings and improvement recommendations.
Champion a culture of continuous improvement, promoting process excellence practices and supporting capability building across the organization.
What you’ll bring:
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification as a minimum
Apply process analysis, improvement, and reengineering methodologies and principles
Develop and execute Process Redesign implementation plan, leading and coaching the Business through the implementation ensuring strong change management
Strong experience in Process Redesign, including data modeling, transaction flow analysis, internal control and risk analysis and modern business methods and performance measurement techniques
Experience developing Excel‑based tools, models, or calculators to help business areas streamline processes and improve accuracy
Strong critical thinking and analytical capability, with the ability to define and resolve complex issues
Expert level knowledge of the Business Analysis, including process, tools and techniques
Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and advocate for Business partners
Solution assessment and validation to ensure alignment with Business needs
The ability to work at a conceptual/strategic level and at a detailed level
Superior documentation & presentation skills (written and verbal)
Superior motivational and communication skills
Strong conceptual skills and ability to exercise flexibility and judgement in a changing environment
Post secondary degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
