  5. Technical Screening: The technical team then prepares a matrix of the particular requirements and required experience for the position and using a list of questions and the results, re-validates the candidates’ technical skills.
  6. Background Check: Administrative personnel will provide a detailed background check, as required, per client agreement.
  7. On board: On successfully completing the above steps, the candidates are welcomed on board and assisted to ensure a smooth integration at the client’s location.

Description:

Business Analyst - 7 plus years relevant experience and IIBA certification

The IT PMO has been in place for approximately 3 years and is growing in maturity and process. However, the BA role has only been in place for a few months and there are very few established processes or standards at present. The person filling this role will have the opportunity to provide insights and guidance to the organization as to how the BA role should be defined and structured as well as assisting in maturing the culture into a more structured analysis approach to delivering solutions to IT needs.

The client is looking for an individual to review and document business processes to gain a complete understanding of current procedures, identify possible improvement, document those processes, and connect business to information technology groups in the organization. Initiatives may include one to many business areas who are stakeholders on a given project and the BA will be responsible for ensuring that all needs are documented and accounted for.

The position reports within the IT PMO and will be assigned to 3-7 projects at a given time, as well as having input into various PMO/BA templates and processes

Business Analyst qualifications:

BA/BS Degree (Major: computer science, information systems, mathematics or related functional field)

A minimum of 5 years of experience

Exceptional communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.

Ability to work independently with minimal guidance. Able to demonstrate quick learning on the job. An active team player with a keen and open mind to acquire new functional and process knowledge

Excellent time management skills with leadership potential.

Demonstrated capacity to effectively manage multiple and frequently changing priorities

Skills Required:

Experience using formal requirements gathering methodologies

4 year college degree or equivalent.

Experience developing business, functional, and non-functional requirements

Experience developing Requirements Traceability Matrix

IIBA-certified Business Analyst

Scrum Master experience

Experience performing market analysis and research on potential solution to business needs

Experience with waterfall and agile environments,

Experience working on multiple projects, possibly various business areas, at the same time

Experience within a matrixed organization
