Job Summary:
Truist is seeking a highly skilled Business/Data Analyst to support its Cyber Metrics Development Program. This role focuses on collecting, validating, and analyzing cybersecurity data to ensure accurate reporting and metrics. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL expertise, experience with UAT, data validation, APIs, and close collaboration with business, IT, and data engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze, profile, validate, and map system data into enterprise data warehouses for cybersecurity reporting.
  • Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries on large datasets.
  • Perform advanced data correlation across IAM, Cloud, and Vulnerability Management systems.
  • Conduct UAT testing, lead UAT sign-offs, and support post-deployment validation.
  • Validate data accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, data engineers, QA, and source system owners.
  • Use Postman or similar API tools for connectivity testing and data validation.
  • Assist in dashboard testing, metric analysis, and stakeholder inquiries.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation (data mappings, architecture, definitions).
  • Track and resolve data issues through to closure.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, IT, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst / Data Analyst in large enterprise environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in SQL (complex queries, optimization).
  • Experience with large datasets, data warehousing, ETL processes.
  • Working knowledge of SQL & NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with APIs and tools like Postman.
  • Strong communication skills and stakeholder interaction experience.
  • Familiarity with Agile tools and Microsoft Office (Excel, SharePoint).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Banking, Financial Services, or Cybersecurity domain experience.
  • Experience analyzing high-volume security data.
  • Knowledge of Python or scripting languages.
  • Experience with metadata management tools.
  • Strong background in UAT, data validation, and product testing.
  • Ability to communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences.
