Global Property & Casualty Provider seeks a Business Intelligence Engineer to be responsible for building, maintaining and optimizing the data pipelines and infrastructure that power our Analytical capabilities. In this role you will collaborate closely with data scientists, data analysts, and data engineers to ensure the reliable delivery of high-quality data to enable data driven business decisions. You will be a key player in transforming raw data into actionable insights, contributing to the development of data-driven products and services.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing data from various sources (e.g., policy administration systems, claims systems, third-party data providers)

  • Implement and optimize ETL/ELT processes using modern data engineering tools and technologies (e.g., Azure ADF, cloud-based data warehouses like Azure Fabric).

  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability through data validation and monitoring.

  • Design, develop, and maintain data infrastructure that power business intelligence tools and enable data-driven decision making

  • Test data to ensure it is of high quality, in all stages of the analytics pipeline, from data ingestion to delivery

  • Ensure data models are running reliably in a production environment

  • Provide relevant documentation on modeled data and metrics including data definitions, data lineage, business logic, sample queries to enable self-serve, analytics

  • Create clear, concise and visually appealing dashboards and reports using Power BI

  • Translate data insights into clear and compelling visualizations for stakeholders

  • Maintain and Optimize Power BI reports, dashboards, and other data resentation products that align to the enterprise architecture


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or a related field preferred

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases and data warehousing concepts

  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools (Azure ADF) and other Azure Cloud technologies (Data Fabric)

  • Strong experience with BI tools like Power BI for data visualization and dashboard creation

  • Familiar with software engineering practices such as version control with Git, Testing, and CI/CD

  • Familiarity with Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance data model is a major plus

  • Experience with data governance and security best practices is a plus
