Role summary

Kings River Packing is seeking a Customer Data Specialist to join our Sales Support team. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate customer product specifications and managing data across multiple systems to support Sales and Marketing operations. The Customer Data Specialist will review, update, and validate product details, coordinate documentation, and ensure information is communicated clearly between internal teams. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, responsive to time-sensitive requests, and able to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring accuracy and consistency in all customer-related data.Β 


What you'll do

  • Maintain and update a centralized database of customer product specifications (variety, grade, size, pack style, labeling, carton markings, etc.)
  • Review incoming customer requirements and ensure they are accurately documented, approved, and communicated to all relevant teams.
  • Coordinate the creation and updates of specification sheets and related documentation for the Sales team.
  • Support new customers onboarding by verifying that product and packaging requirements can be met before shipment
  • Identify trends in customer specification changes and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Manage, monitor, and correct outbound pending EDI documents in the FIS Message Manager system; reprocess as necessary.
  • Validate data accuracy using Customer Product Translation Lists and update missing or incorrect translation information.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to investigate and resolve EDI-related errors.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to customer and internal data requests.
  • Assist with scheduling, project tracking, and report preparation.
  • Recommend and implement system or documentation improvements to streamline communication between departments.
  • Complete additional work-related duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in data management, sales support, or customer service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Experience with Famous software preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Accurate typing and 10-key skills (minimum 50 WPM, 100% accuracy).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across departments.
  • Dependable, punctual, and self-motivated with a team-oriented, service-focused attitude.
  • Alignment with the company’s mission and core values.

Physical Demands & Abilities

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Onsite work schedule: Monday – Friday, with flexibility as business needs require.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $27.00 - $32.00/hour, based on experience
