ABOUT OUR COMPANY: AMS is a leading nuclear engineering services company headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee with a worldwide list of clients. We provide the nuclear industry with products and services to measure the performance of Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems and verify compliance with technical specifications and regulatory requirements. AMS products, training, and services cover a wide range including measurement of dynamic performance of I&C sensors, shutdown rod control system testing, electromagnetic compatibility testing, wireless technology implementation, cable testing and troubleshooting, aging management of critical plant equipment, online calibration monitoring of process sensors, and development of specialized data acquisition equipment and data analysis systems in support of reactor operation and maintenance.

SALARY RANGE: $70,000 - $105,000 per year plus full package of benefits

JOB OVERVIEW

As a data analyst, you will be responsible for acquiring measurements and assessing the health of nuclear instrumentation and control systems using proprietary AMS software and algorithms. You will work closely with engineering teams to report analysis results to ensure the safe and efficient operation of nuclear power plants around the world.


DESIRED REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong skills in data analysis and problem solving.
  • Detail-oriented, able to follow structured processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Team player who can collaborate with engineers and field personnel.
  • Experience in the nuclear industry is a plus.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze and visualize complex data from nuclear plant systems.
  • Collaborate with engineers to detect trends and solve problems.
  • Prepare clear reports and presentations for internal teams and customers.
  • Follow strict Quality Assurance processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Travel 6 to 12 times per year for an average 4-day duration per trip to collect data at national and international nuclear power plants.
