    About Becker Public Schools:

     

    Becker School District is conveniently located off of US Hwy 10, just 20 minutes SE from St. Cloud and 45 minutes NW from the Twin Cities. The District consists of five buildings, all situated on a single, cohesive campus and serves approximately 2,800 students (K-12).  Primary School (K-2), Intermediate School (3-5), Middle School (6-8), High School (9-12), and the Early Education Center which serves an additional 350 students.     Overview: 

     

    The Data Specialist is responsible for assisting teachers and administrators in accurately collecting, organizing, analyzing and reporting student and school improvement data. In addition, this position is responsible for providing academic interventions to students.

     

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

     
    • Facilitate the collection, organization and analysis of assessment data by teachers and Professional Learning Communities to reach district and school goals of improving academic outcomes for all students.

    • Ensure all district and school assessments (FastBridge, MCA, ACCESS…) are uploaded into the district data warehouse (eduCLIMBER) regularly.

    • Work with MTSS Leads to develop data walls and other data sets for placement meetings

    • Prepare district and building level reports for analysis as requested by Superintendent, Principals, Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction, Director of Technology, PLC leads, and Curriculum/Grade Level teams.

    • Monitor and support FastBridge and MCA testing during the relevant testing windows in collaboration with site assessment coordinators.

    • Assist district and site assessment coordinators and Principals in training staff and ensuring all testing protocols and certification requirements for MCA, ACCESS and FastBridge are met.

    • Work with academic/behavior interventionists and classroom teachers to gather weekly progress monitoring data in preparation for MTSS meetings.

    • Attend appropriate training on eduCLIMBER, FastBridge, MDE assessments… to stay current on relevant practices.
