    Position Summary:
    The Junior High Data Manager is responsible for the accurate and timely management of student information, scheduling, and reporting processes at the junior high school level. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, proficiency with student information systems (particularly PowerSchool), and the ability to ensure compliance with state and federal reporting requirements.                    

    Junior High Data Management (PowerSchool)
    Manage new student registrations, ensuring complete and accurate entry of demographic, academic, and program information.

     
    • Process and maintain student schedules, including both initial placements and mid-year adjustments, collaborating with counselors and administrators to balance course loads and resolve conflicts.
    • Generate ad hoc data exports and reports to support teachers, counselors, administrators, and district leadership.
    • Maintain accurate course rosters for teachers and update them as schedule changes occur.
    • Coordinate the production and distribution of interim reports and report cards, including opening/closing grading windows, verifying accuracy, and preparing family communications.
    • Prepare and distribute student letters for quarter/trimester changes, ensuring timely notification to families.
    • Provide data and rosters to support school events such as Back to School Night.
    • Generate and distribute attendance rosters for classroom and schoolwide use.
    • Collaborate with the Assistant Principal for Operations to build the master schedule, create sections, balance class sizes, and troubleshoot solutions to challenges. 
    • Support the work of the Main Office, providing back-up support to other key positions when necessary.
    • ?Collaborate with other district staff to ensure consistency in the use of PowerSchool, Power Teacher, and other products.
     

    Qualifications

     
    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in education, information systems, data management, or related field preferred.
    • Experience working with PowerSchool or comparable student information systems required.
    • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with administrators, staff, and families.
    • ?High level of discretion in handling confidential student and staff information.
     

    Working Conditions

     
    • Full-time, year-round position (12 months).
    • Based at RJ Grey Junior High School.
    • ?Extended hours may be required at peak reporting times (e.g., report card cycles, scheduling deadlines, etc.).
