Position Summary:
Performs multi-layered data analysis on various data sources to ensure accuracy and identify potential leads for Sales & Use Tax and Local Tax Compliance (Discovery Recovery) using Neumoβs proprietary software.Β Affects corrections to the data, as necessary.Β Maintain established address range databases by county.Β Affect annexations provided by the California Department of Tax & Fee Administration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analysis of data anomalies and enhance data where necessary
- Lead detection (Sales and Use Tax and Local Tax Compliance (DRE)): Analysis of data to identify non-compliant or misallocated businesses, assist with bilingual calls for LTC/Call Center
- Annexations (State Board of Equalization)
- New client setup/validation of zip code boundaries, overlaps, county pockets
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:Β
- Associate's degree preferred, or the equivalent amount of related experience.
- Bi-lingual required (Spanish/English).

- Attention to detail; ability to compare and recognize discrepancies in data.
- Understanding the dynamics of retail and industrial commerce is helpful but not required.
- Ability to analyze and interpret maps, such as Google Maps or a GIS site.
- Ability to navigate and conduct research on the web.
- A moderate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A moderate degree of analysis, creativity, and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrate the principles of good customer service to all customers and colleagues.
- Demonstrate compliance with all company policies and/or regulations.
Work Environment:Β
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an open floor office environment, in an individual workstation, using a telephone and computer.
- Employees are required to work evenings and weekends as necessary.

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to work at the computer several hours a day, five days a week.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine
- This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office
