Job Summary

The Data Specialist will oversee all data management and evaluation activities for the Generating Energy Optimization (GEO) Project. This role is responsible for designing and maintaining comprehensive data systems to support project performance measurement, evaluation, and reporting. The Data Specialist will collaborate with the project’s external evaluator, recruitment specialist, instructors, and success coaches to ensure that data collection, entry, and analysis are accurate, consistent, and timely.

Anticipated start date is January 2026.

This is a grant funded position which ends 04/30/2028.

Job Duties:

β€’ Design, implement, and manage data collection instruments and evaluation tools.
β€’ Collect, track, and analyze data related to student participation, milestones, completion rates, and work-based learning outcomes.
β€’ Collaborate with the external evaluator to ensure evaluation methods align with federal grant requirements and project objectives.
β€’ Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure grant performance and outcomes.
β€’ Prepare quarterly and annual reports to meet federal compliance and performance standards.
β€’ Work collaboratively with the Workforce Dean, Project Director, instructors, and marketing department to ensure accurate, data-driven communication of outcomes.
β€’ Support continuous improvement by identifying trends and recommending data-informed, evidence-based strategies.
β€’ Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with all institutional, state, and federal data management and reporting regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's degree with 3 to 4 years of experience in data management. Β

Additional Skills Requested:

β€’ Proven experience in database creation, management, and data system administration.
β€’ Strong understanding of performance measurement tools, outcome metrics, and evaluation design specific to federal grants.
β€’ Demonstrated background in project management or program effectiveness analysis.
β€’ Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
β€’ Advanced data analytics and problem-solving abilities.
β€’ Proficiency with presentation and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Tableau, or Power BI).
β€’ Exceptional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to translate technical data into accessible reports and presentations.
