POSITION SUMMARYΒ 

We are seeking a detail-oriented Gift and Data Specialist to lead gift processing and limited database management, ensuring accurate and efficient gift entry and acknowledgment. Salesforce experience required. The workflow will average 8-12 hours per week. This role reports to the Director of Development.Β

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESΒ 

Gift Entry & Acknowledgment (95%)

  • Maintain the confidentiality and accuracy of donor information in the CRM.
  • Manage updating, adding and maintaining development records in the database for prospective, current, and past donors and alumni, including family and institutional giving organizations.
  • Enter all gift data, grant awards, tributes and in-kind gifts.
  • Managing the systems to support processing all donations that results in accurate financial and development reporting – including coding all development-related transactions.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage, produce, and distribute acknowledgment and receipt processes.
  • Supports all functions of development from cultivation, events, campaigns, and acknowledgment through strong data integrity practices.
  • Assist in generating reports related to gift entry and donor activity. Β Β

  • Ensures adherence to OBUSA & VOBS policies and procedures as they relate to workplace safety.

  • Attend and participate in VOBS activities/events as needed. Β

Requirements

  • Administrative – familiarity with computer-based systems like Microsoft Outlook, Word, Word, Excel, and Google Drive. Experience with Customer Relations Management databases (i.e. Salesforce) a plus.Β

  • Customer & Personal Service – Maintains excellent donor stewardship and service orientation.

WORK CONDITIONS / LOCATIONΒ 

  • In person role; Our office is located in St. Paul, MN
  • Indoor office environment with moderate noise.
  • Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Β 


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSΒ 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to 15 lbs.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • This is a part- time, non- exempt position. Pay rate $19-$25 per hour, depending on experience.Β
