Position responsibilities:
- Maintains a thorough understanding of Distribution to assist the Process Manager with facilitating the design/revision of Distribution Supply Chain procedures and application development by applying knowledge of problem solving and process improvement (PSPI) to analyze and design the process.
- Collaborates with Process Manager & Industrial Engineer to ensure Distribution Center (DC) processes and systems are working properly to meet user and business needs.
- Provides Tier 1 Distribution Center support by monitoring the Infor Supply Chain Execution (Sce) hotline to resolve system and process issues. Solicits help from IT and vendors when necessary; Escalates issues to appropriate stakeholders when needed.
- Assists in the development and refinement of business applications that meet user needs. Translate requests into system functional requirements. Communicates requests to system analysts and/or application developers.
- Partners with the Quality Control Supervisor(s) to ensure ongoing documentation of business needs, processes, and applications by utilizing a consistent documentation format and procedures.
Position requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) from four-year college or university; at least three years of relevant distribution experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to use tools such as process flow mapping, root cause analysis, Pareto Analysis or other data generation or analysis tools.
- Ability to systematically gather and synthesize technical and organization climate information in developing business solutions.
- Ability to diagnose and solve problems. Uses logic to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
- Knowledge of process improvement principles and methodologies.
- Knowledge of and ability to perform data gathering, analysis, and process flow redesign.
- Ability to identify and transfer “Best Practices” to business operations.
