Key Responsibilities
As the Financial Analyst, you will support the Controller and operational leadership by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting while delivering valuable insights that support effective business decisions.

Financial Reporting & Month-End Close

  • Partner with Operations Managers to complete the monthly close process for Profit & Loss activity, investigating and explaining variances between expected and actual results.
  • Prepare journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and prepaid schedules to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Support the preparation and delivery of financial reporting for month-end and quarter-end deadlines.

Variance Analysis & Performance Monitoring

  • Conduct detailed variance analysis on a monthly and quarterly basis, identifying key drivers of financial performance.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to support operational and financial insights.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly P&L review meetings with Operational Managers to communicate results and recommendations.

Revenue & Cost Recognition

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue and cost recognition across business units.
  • Coordinate the tracking, posting, and reconciliation of intercompany transactions to maintain financial integrity.
  • Ensure transactions comply with internal accounting policies and procedures.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Project Support

  • Support the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts to help guide operational planning.
  • Participate in and support finance-related projects that improve reporting processes and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment while helping drive improvements across financial processes.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:

Education & Experience:

  • Degree in Finance or Accounting and actively working toward a CPA designation.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Finance or Accounting.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in financial analysis and accounting processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Experience with Workday and Google Workspace is considered an asset.

Key Competencies:

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy across financial transactions and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information to diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills with the ability to meet tight reporting deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify trends, investigate discrepancies, and provide meaningful insights.
