As a Financial Analyst, you will analyze financial status by collecting, monitoring, and studying data, and preparing reports to present findings. Β Analysis includes a narrative describing the nature of the expense accounts. Β  Participate in budget process by preparing worksheets, inputting information received from managers, and analyzing data. Β  Report on variances and compares information to prior years as well as budget. Β  Conduct payroll analysis. Β Assist in preparing schedules for financial audit. Β  Work is full time during the weekdays. Β  Work is performed at a CNS site and there may be some travel to other office locations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for designing and generating various company reports and financial analytics that focus on cost, utilization, trends, and ad hoc requirements. Β Collects, monitors, and studies data, and prepares reports to present findings. Β 
  • Prepares financial reporting (e.g., board reports, divisional reports, and regulatory reports). Β 
  • Based on detailed analytics, creates actionable information that results in identifying trends and opportunities for improvement in company and provider performance
  • Works independently to identify and present cost avoidance and cost recovery opportunities.
  • Performs variance analysis. Β Prepares ad hoc analysis and benchmarking for assigned divisions or companies including analyzing raw financial data as well as compiling reports, graphs and presentations. Β  Reports on variances and compares information to prior years as well as budget. Β Analysis includes a narrative describing the nature of the expense accounts. Β Β

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting is required. Β 
  • Minimum of 3-5 year experience in business required; some experience in health care or rehabilitation management is preferred.
  • GL/Accounting system experience is required.
  • Strong Excel/Microsoft product skills is required.
  • PowerBI and SQL experience is preferred.
  • CPA license or CPA license candidate is preferred. Β 

The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including skill sets, experience, education and training, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Β It’s not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are arrived at each unique case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary is $72,000 - $90,000 per year.
