Group Summary:
The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in completion of month-end accounting functions including preparation of journal entries
- Complete relevant monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliation of accounts in a timely manner
- Update BOMs as per ECNs on a timely basis
- Maintains BOM changes/ECN documentation
- Setup new BOMs as required by Engineering/Materials
- Update current and Frozen cost with new purchase price
- Run BOM revaluation as needed
- Resolve any issues related to BOMs
- Key player during BOM cost reviews
- Process adjustments as per BOMs audits
- Update current and Frozen cost with current FX rate ( Per business plan or as needed)
- Update EON Field in part master with component Purchase price as per business plan
- Change BOM routing as required by Production
- Calculation of Product cost of FG parts for Business plan/Forecasts
- Prepare Cost/Inventory section of Audit file and/or other sections as needed.
- Cost of Quality reporting
- Assist in continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with business plan and quarterly forecast process
Other Accounting Tasks:
- Assist with corporate reporting
- Update KOI charts
- Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety and environmental rules and regulations, promoting safety in the workplace
- Comply with the requirements of C-TPAT/PIP
- Conduct business in an ethical manner in compliance with the Magna Code of Conduct
- Report all accidents/incidents and unsafe conditions/behavior
- Adhere to applicable quality systems and IATF16949 standards
- Adhere to and promote the Employee Charter and work within the rules, regulations and guidelines of the Plastcoat Employee Handbook
- Maintain work area in accordance with the principles of 5S and operate daily within these standards
- Perform other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Having or working towards CPA designation is an asset
EXPERIENCE:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience
- Prior experience in the manufacturingΒ industry is an asset
SKILLS:
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines and work in a fast pace environment
