Financial Analyst II - Detroit, MI or Tulsa, OK

General Summary

The Financial Analyst’s responsibilities include the analytical and internal control documentation needed to prepare and file DT Midstream’s annual Form 10-K and quarterly Form 10-Qs with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The Financial Analyst is also responsible for researching and assisting with technical accounting guidance based on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Key Accountabilities

• Compile information to assist with the preparation of external financial reports in compliance with SEC and other regulatory reporting requirements
• Assist with preparing and providing information to internal and external auditors to facilitate the audits in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
• Provide accounting guidance and analysis on accounting related matters with manager supervision
• Research current and emerging accounting issues and implement related accounting policies and procedures and technical whitepapers with manager supervision
• Assist with analysis of business transactions and proposal of accounting treatment

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 3 years of experience in auditing, financial accounting and/or financial reporting
• Big 4 public accounting auditor and/or public company direct experience
• CPA License

Other Qualifications

Preferred: 

• Master’s Degree in Accounting
• Experience using reporting software (i.e. Workiva)

Other Requirements:  

• Base understanding of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements 
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams
• Engages in a positive working environment within and across functional areas
• Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office suite
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work overtime during peak reporting periods; flexibility in working hours required
• Willing to perform an emergency assignment as needed
