Job Summary:
The Healthcare Analyst III is responsible for trend analysis, presenting analytical findings and recommendations regarding utilization to management and being proficient in identifying and quantifying opportunities to reduce medical costs while supporting high quality care for members.
Essential Functions:
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Analyze healthcare utilization to identify patterns, variation, and outliers
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Present analytical findings and recommendations to management
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Identify and quantify opportunities to reduce medical costs
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Develop analytic methods, tools, and dashboards to efficiently compare performance across and within markets and products
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Support coordinated execution of ad-hoc analytics requests from departments across the organization
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Perform any other job duties as requested
Education and Experience:
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Bachelor鈥檚 Degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience is required
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Advanced degree is preferred
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare analytics is required
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Managed care experience is required
Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Knowledge of healthcare data, including medical and pharmacy claims, Utilization Management, provider, and member demographic data. EMR data and HIE data a plus.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare and other government sponsored healthcare programs strongly preferred
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Proficient in with Excel, Word and PowerPoint, PowerPivot a plus
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Proficient in Microsoft Power Bi as an analytic tool
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Proficient with advanced SQL, Databricks a plus
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ability to organize data in a way that facilitates inferences, conclusions and decisions
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Working Conditions:
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Compensation Range:
$81,400.00 - $130,200.00CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate鈥檚 education, training, and experience as well as the position鈥檚 scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
