Position Summary

The position will play a key role in development and improvement of TIFF’s Investment data environment. This role will support to transform the organization into a data-centric entity, ensuring high-quality data for decision-making and stakeholder communications.

Key Responsibilities1. Reporting & Analytics Functions:

  • Design Calculations & Reporting: Develop calculations and reports for portfolio monitoring, performance, and attribution.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Provide expertise on systems, calculation methodologies, and implementation for TIFF.
  • Internal Reporting: Maintain and distribute weekly internal reports covering performance, positioning, exposures, and attribution for TIFF vehicles and customized mandates.
  • Client Reporting: Distribute customized statements, reports, and content on a monthly or quarterly basis.
  • Fund Presentation and Factsheets: Maintain and distribute materials like presentation templates and factsheets for TIFF vehicles, adhering to deadlines set in the quarterly production calendar.
  • Ad-hoc Analytics: Develop analytics on performance, attribution, risk, and liquidity as needed.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Investments/Risk, Finance, Compliance, RFP, and Client Strategy teams to gather data and develop analytics for ad-hoc requests.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and propose opportunities to improve data management and reporting processes.

2. Data Administration Functions:

  • Monitor Data Flows: Oversee and ensure timely receipt of investment data into analytics platforms from various sources.
  • Data Reconciliation: Design and implement tools to reconcile and validate data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Investment Data Management: Support and enhance the management of investment data across various systems.
  • Collaboration with Investment/Risk Teams: Liaise with Investment/Risk teams to validate data and structure portfolios in systems.
  • Technology Support: Work with Technology/Development teams to address data infrastructure issues and integrate new features.
  • Data Structure & Enrichment: Assist in the improvement of data structure and its enrichment for better reporting and analysis.

Qualifications

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, economics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field with 3 to 7 years in data governance, data management, reporting, and analytics
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services industry, and working with investment data
  • Experience with investment analytical platforms such as Solovis, Addepar, Factset, Bloomberg
  • Advanced skills in Excel; proficiency in ThinkCell, VBA, or SQL is a plus
  • Understanding of performance measurement (time-weighted returns, attribution), risk metrics, and benchmark comparisons. Familiarity with performance frameworks (e.g., GIPS) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Progress towards CFA or CIPM certification is a plus
