Primary Purpose:   To direct and coordinate collection and reporting of student, finance and personnel data.  

 

Qualifications:                                            

 

Education/Certification:   Bachelor’s Degree  Business or Related Field   

 

Experience/Knowledge:  Two or more years’ experience in data entry, record keeping, word processing and spread sheet maintenance

Experience in customer support roles

Experience in data entry computer applications i.e. Office 365, Google Workspace, Word, Excel.

PEIMS reporting or auditing experience preferred.

Experience in personnel and student computer data processing, computer programming preferred.

                                               

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

 

  1. Coordinate district-wide collection and submission of student, finance, and personnel data for Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS).  
  1. Check for district compliance and accuracy of data reporting in:  
  • PEIMS-Public Education Information Management System.
  • DVM – Data Validation Monitoring, RDA – Results Driven Accountability, CCMR – College Career & Military Readiness
  • Special Program Evaluations
  • District audits  
  1. Systematically review and monitor records for accuracy.  
  1. Provide training and support to campuses and to business and personnel staff responsible for processing PEIMS data.  
  1. Work closely with principals, directors and coordinators of special programs to ensure that data is consistently reviewed to improve instruction.  
  1. Meet with campus data entry/attendance clerks on regular basis to ensure that data is tracked and entered accurately and in a timely manner.  
  1. Provide support with data entry/attendance clerks to train and answer questions using live data.  
  1. Run edits, reports, and verification checks on data to ensure accuracy of information. Distribute edits and reports to appropriate staff for analysis, verification, and correction.  
  1. Work cooperatively with campus, business office, and personnel office staff to collect, organize, and format data required to submit district PEIMS data according to prescribed state deadlines.  
  1. Compiles and submits TEA required Pupil Enrollment Tracking data.  
  1. Responsible for the submission of fall, mid-year, summer and extended year programs to the state.  
  1. Responsible for UID reporting: (Unique Identification Database) error percentage standards as described in the PEIMS Data Standards.  
  1. Support implementation of district initiatives.  
  1. Coordinate with third party software vendors to resolve issues that may jeopardize the integrity of the data.  
  1. Maintain a positive and effective relationship with supervisors and work directly with the programmers to create procedures, user manuals and training courses.  
  1. Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy.  
  1. Receive and distribute PEIMS-related information from Education Service Center and TEA, including updates to PEIMS Data Standards, in a timely manner.  
  1. Performs other duties assigned by the Director of Data Quality.
