Job Summary:

The System Financial Analyst for Pharmacy serve as a key finance partner for the Pharmacy business team providing financial support and business insight by building out and enhance pharmacy P&L and pricing models for new and existing services and develop business insights. This position will lead the development of financial models that aid in key decision-making and perform ad-hoc analysis as needed and present findings to senior management. The System Financial Analyst for Pharmacy supports all aspects of the pharmacy business for WellStar Health System which include inpatient, outpatient and employee health plan operations.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Financial Duties * Query, export and format monthly revenue reports for all pharmacy departments to submit to controllers, directors, managers. * Query, export and format monthly drug purchase breakdown for all pharmacies to submit to controllers, directors, managers and accounting. * Work with Decision Support to maintain cost analysis figures for medications and action reports. * Produce market share and other purchasing reports to facilitate contracts negotiations and maintain contract obligations. * Perform ad-hoc analysis as needed. * Research automated medication cabinet information for product usage and optimization. * Code, enter and process purchases and invoices as needed. * Mediate other invoices for the pharmacy departments to determine correctness and appropriateness of billing and follow up on payment. * Review and develop responsibility reports and detail trial balance for correctness. * Provide projections during budgeting calendar for capital and operating. * Work with Pharmacy Reimbursement Specialist in Revenue Management to resolve charging issues and work with vendors for Retail Pharmacy accounting reconciliation. Inventory Management * Facilitate 340B Program at eligible facilities. * Facilitate Indigent Drug Reimbursement Program at all WellStar Facilities. * Monitor drug purchases to maximize rebate potential. * Review FDA actions to analyze impact on med costs. * Manage inventory processes for year end, midyear counts. Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all WellStar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct.

Required Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree related field Required

    Required Minimum Experience:

    Minimum 3 years experience as a financial analyst in a related department at a healthcare institution Required

    Required Minimum Skills:

    Computer/data entry experience. Ability to communicate with various members of the healthcare team. Ability to use EXCEL, Word and have basic computer operational knowledge. Epic and 3M and a retail pharmacy dispensing program experience preferred.
