Job Summary
The Senior Secondary Marketing Analyst will lead operational execution of an assigned focused area within the Secondary Marketing Department (SMD). This area of responsibilities could include but is not limited to; rate sheets and margin management, lock desk functions, whole loan trading, investor delivery, servicing transfers, hedging and MBS trading, daily mark-to-market, product strategy and development, systems, and back-office support. As necessary and required, this analyst will engage with other teammates to ensure that all supporting activities related to the success of the department are performed and executed timely and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Development
- Identifying new mortgage product/market opportunities
- Research, design, develop, and deliver new value-added mortgage products to augment and enhance mortgage product lines
- Improve competitive position and increase revenues while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and rules
- Create required mortgage product artifacts including market research summaries, competitive analyses, mortgage product comparisons, business cases, requirements, workflows, and customer journey maps
- Monitor the competitive landscape, technological changes, demographic and consumer behavior shifts, and different mortgage product offerings to maintain market share and competitive edge
- Manage the mortgage product lifecycle from conception to launch, guiding mortgage product introduction through development, business case, and implementation
- Identify target customer segments and markets
- Employ cutting edge technology and innovative processes to ensure mortgage product design exceeds expectations of customers and mortgage product launch is speedy and effective
- Ensure continuous improvement in the mortgage product as well as ensure that mortgage product compliance meets market needs
- Oversee mortgage product metrics, launches and mortgage product performance and ensure success against mortgage product goals and expectations
Rate Sheets & Margin Management
- Produce daily rate sheets
- Update HFI model as needed
- Manage margins in collaboration with retail segment leaders
- Track historical margin changes
- Utilize market data feeds to update SOFR index in our loan origination system
- Monitor the market and initiate intraday price changes as needed
Lock Desk & Whole Loan Trading
- Support retail loan originators with all rate lock and pricing needs
- Oversee pricing exceptions, update pricing and communicate changes as necessary
- Execute relationship pricing changes in support of private client group products
- Work collaboratively to ensure accuracy of product and price eligibility rules with applicable systems
- Execute whole loan, servicing released loan sale transactions
- Oversee timely delivery and adherence to bond program requirements
- Responsible for primary relationship management with investors; establish timelines for due diligence review and settlement deliverables
- Monitor due diligence process to ensure adequate and timely resolution of investorsβ conditions and exceptions
- Review and approve tie-out final funding population with investors and facilitate the settlement process including the repricing of the trade, execution of closing documentation, reviewing the funding schedule for accuracy, compiling mortgage loan schedule data, and communicating settlement funds
- Coordinate servicing transfer process between the investors and the servicing department
- Act as liaison between investors and internal business stakeholders such as traders, legal counsel, fulfilment, accounting, treasury and servicing departments
- Coordinate the execution of bailee letters and the shipment of collateral files to the investorsβ custodians.
Hedging & MBS Trading
- Manage the hedge position daily and throughout the day
- Oversee all MBS trading activity
- Create the daily mark-to-market report and distribute to executive leadership, stakeholders and risk partners
- Reconcile the profit and loss with accounting
- Investigate and resolve any position discrepancies
- Produce asset liability committee (ALCO) monthly reports
- Manage monthly rolls, pair off and MBS settlements
Systems & Back Office Support
- Maintain and update all loan origination systems with current and accurate product, price and margin settings
- Admin and owner of product and price eligibility rules engine
- Collaborate with IT on systems administration
- Oversee all system access to key SMD vendors
- Work directly with investors, SMD, executive leadership on renewals and re-certifications
- Cross functionally collaborate within Secondary Marketing team to ensure all supporting activities related to the success of SMD goals are performed and executed in a timely and efficiently.
First Line of Defense:
- Audit β Actively participate with internal and external audits, provide necessary documentation and explanation of policy and responses.Β
- Policy Maintenance β Review SMD policies on an annual basis or as required to ensure compliance with regulatory lending requirements. Research and obtain input from other SMM to support changes, recommend and implement changes.
- Process Development β Ongoing review of SMD processes to ensure continued growth, effectiveness and efficiency of team. Ensure SMD is meeting all lending requirements and continuously implement process improvements.Β
- Product Knowledge β Remain current on product guideline changes and work with applicable stakeholders across the organization to communicate changes. Participate in testing of new and enhanced products for business unit acceptance.
- Customer Relationship Management β Work with Account Executives and Sales Management to build and maintain strong long term relationships with customers.Β Assist in determining viable solutions to mitigate impacts of loan changes on pricing during the loan process.Β
- Project Lead β Assume lead role and participate in research and development meetings to manage business unit responsibilities for all enterprise system and software updates.Β
- System Enhancements and Fixes β Maintain strong understanding of current system functionality, identify and define opportunities to improve pricing accuracy and efficiencies through additional system development.Β Meet with Product IT team and participate in prioritizing new development needs.
- Department Performance β Responsible for monitoring weekly and monthly performance statistics, guide direction of quality assurance and concept development activities for the team and escalate concerns as needed.
- Reporting β Review of daily, weekly and monthly SMD reporting, provide direction based on results for continued growth and development of team.

- Consistently adheres to regulatory and compliance policies and standards linked to the job as listed and complete required compliance trainings.Β Accountable to maintain compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications:
- Education level required: High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign EquivalentΒ
- Minimum experience required: 4+ Years of residential mortgage and/or secondary marketing experience which includes managing processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education level preferred: Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent)

- Strong organization and prioritization skills with strong attention to details, with ability to work through complex situations from start to finish
- Ability to lead processes within the SMD
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collectively in a team environment and across business units
- Strong analytical capabilities and computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office
- Travel Requirements: Limited to no travel required
- Physical demands (ADA): No unusual physical exertion is involved.
