Expedient has a vacancy for a Senior Business Analyst to support the Timekeeping System and peripheral Hand Scanning Data Collection Devices and HR and Benefits systems.

• The individual will be analyzing and interpreting the specific timekeeping functions into business process documents.

• The individual will be analyzing and interpreting specific, but not limited to, biometrics and proximity data collection devices (DCD) and communication technology.

• The individual will assist in the creation of end user training documentation to support new data collection platforms selected to interface with the Timekeeping System.

• The individual will be analyzing the current data collection implementation methodology and develop a streamlined process for new technology platforms related, but not limited to, biometrics and proximity data collection devices (DCD) and communication technology.

• The individual must have the ability to transform business requirements into functional documents and must be familiar with working with a time and attendance application, or payroll application.

• The individual will be liaising with different user groups, especially Uniform user groups and as such, must have the ability to communicate and interpret their needs and requirements.

• The individual must be well versed in the different phases of Software Development Life Cycle with broad contribution to Requirements Gathering, Analysis, and Design.

 

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering, human computer interaction, interactive media, digital and graphics design, data visualization, communication or a related field, and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain; or

2. An associate degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering, human computer interaction, interactive media, digital and graphics design, data visualization, communication or a related field, and six years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain; or

3. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, and eight years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain; or

4. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1", "2", or "3" above.

 

Preferred Skills:

• Technical as well as business knowledge and experience with the CityTime, PMS, and NYCAPS systems; their interfaces, and associated transaction processing

• Minimum 5 years of experience creating business/functional requirements and system design documents that provide logical and creative solutions to complex problems. Hands-on activities must include: Decomposing business requirements into detail designs that may cover items such as: functional and framework features, configurations, business rules, and interface file layouts.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a project manager or lead analyst position with responsibilities for planning and organizing work, develop short and long-range plans to meet business objectives, and bring subject matter expertise to business interactions and improvement recommendations.

• Minimum 3 years of experience with timekeeping and payroll methodologies.

• Ability to translate functional and technical requirements into common business terms.

• Familiar with New York City agency operations

• Knowledge of IBM Rational Clear Case and Clear Quest

• Experience using MS Office 2010 and later; including MS Project and MS Visio required.
