Job Description:Β 

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing, eliciting, and documenting business requirements to support the successful development and implementation of business systems tailored to the healthcare insurance sector. You will collaborate with key stakeholders, including product leads, technical teams, and end-users, to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with company goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in specialty insurance, specifically for the healthcare industry, with experience in requirement elicitation, Agile methodology for configuration and development activities, quality assurance (QA) testing (including automated testing).Β

Key Responsibilities:Β 

  • Work closely with business stakeholders in the specialty insurance space to understand and gather business requirements, processes, and workflows.Β 
  • Elicit, document, and prioritize clear, actionable business and system requirements for specialty insurance needs.Β 
  • Develop detailed requirement documents, user stories, use cases, and process flows that serve as the foundation for configuration, development and testing.Β 
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and discussions with business users to ensure requirements are accurately captured and understood.Β 
  • Support Agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and participation in daily standups.Β 
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure that business requirements are translated into effective technical solutions.Β 
  • Ensure quality assurance (QA) testing is conducted to validate that solutions meet business needs and are free of defects.Β 
  • Assist in preparing and executing test cases, identifying defects, and working with the team to ensure timely resolution.Β 
  • Support and participate in automated testing efforts to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and speed (including test scripts for new features and system enhancements)Β 
  • Conduct impact analysis and recommend improvements to business systems and processes, focusing on the healthcare insurance industry.Β 
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in specialty insurance within the healthcare sector.Β

Qualifications:Β 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Β 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on specialty insurance for the healthcare industry.Β 
  • Strong experience in requirements elicitation, documentation, and analysis, particularly in complex systems within the specialty insurance space.Β 
  • Expertise in Agile methodologies and experience working in an Agile environment.Β 
  • Proven experience in quality assurance testing, including creating and executing test plans, writing test cases, and defect management.Β 
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools is a plus (e.g., Selenium, Tosca, or similar tools)Β 
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with business users, developers, and executives.Β 
  • Ability to think critically, solve problems, and translate business needs into technical requirements.Β 
  • Natural inquisitive tendencies and a curiosity in understanding business process and system enablementΒ 
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot errorsΒ

  • Insurance Operations background a plusΒ 
  • Proficiency with business analysis tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, SharePoint).Β 
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) and/or Agile (e.g., CSM, CSPO) is a plus.Β
