As the Senior Business Analyst, Finance Solutions, you will work with a highly skilled and motivated team and your efforts will have a direct impact on framing and solving the challenges of a function seeking modernization and the development of continuous improvement culture.Β In this role you will act as a key enabler within a process modernization squad, supporting change and process re-engineering within Finance Operations.Β The Senior Business Analyst will support the modernization squad lead through the inception to execution of projects, developing and maintaining governance structures and documentation, as well as providing change management, training and post implementation support for process owners.Β You will collaborate with teams across Element, inclusive of our Continuous Improvement group, wider Finance teams, Commercial and Operations.Β
A Day in the LifeΒ Β Β
- Look for opportunities to eliminate, simplify and automate processes. Based on an understanding of the business strategy and stakeholder needs, recommends approaches or changes to streamline and integrate processes to improve overall efficiency
- Key contributor within a team of mixed discipline resources to drive tangible change across key priority processes to deliver process improvements for productivity savings and enhanced customer/employee experience
- Develops and documents processes, standard operating procedures, and/ or end-user materials.
- Design training material and organize stakeholder training and Q&A sessions on re-engineered processes, inclusive of tools/templates to appropriate process owners
- Design, implement and collect KPIs to support and monitor the rollout of new processes, guidance or information tools
- Create user friendly data visualizations to report complex business processes via related KPIs, benchmarking, statistical analysis, exception reporting, etc.
- Support process owners by ensuring process governance is clear, information templates are available, and frequently asked questions are addressed
- Lead the roll out of changes to governance through implementing change management strategies
- Collect stakeholder feedback on operating model rollout and identify areas that require further clarification/improvements
- Facilitate automation of analytical and operational tasks and processes at scale, incorporating automation tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Power Automate, or development of requirements for RPAs and IT led projects
- Take ownership of financial data and analytics processes with a fair understanding of business processes to equip the team with proper data for advanced analytics and exploratory data analysis
RequirementsΒ
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, economics, finance, statistics or a related field of study
- 3+ years of experience in business process engineering, finance process modernization, or a top-tier management consulting firm, or as a data analyst within finance
- Experience in generating process documentation and reports
- Quick and scrappy learner who adapts well to a fast-moving environment and gets things done, combines creativity, problem- solving skills, and a can-do attitude to overcome any obstacle
- Customer focused and results oriented, passionate about creating a best-in-class service and a best-in-class company.
- Track record of data-driven analysis, and linking data and analytics to business strategy, financial performance, and process improvement
- Strong analytical background, including the ability to break down and work through complex problems in a structured manner, using both quantitative and qualitative methods
- Experience with data analysis tools, SQL; in its absence, eagerness to learn is a must
- Experience with automation technologies and data visualization tools such as PowerBI, Power Automate, Smartsheet workflow, Alteryx, or other BI tools.Β
- Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning and transforming techniques preferred
- MS Office proficiency: Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Visio
- Knowledge of and hands-on experience with SAP S4/HANA a plus
The hiring base salary range for this position is $76,300 - $104,900 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individualβs knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
