POSITION SUMMARY:Β 

The Sr. Financial Analyst analyzes financial data by collecting, monitoring, and creating financial models for decision support.Β  It improves financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends and recommending actions to management.Β

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares financial analyses, including trending analysis, productivity metrics, revenue cycle analysis, and other ad hoc projects, as well as financial reports and graphic presentations.
  • Reviews existing methods for extracting, analyzing, and presenting data through project completion.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of NPH’s financial information system, including the ability to write financial reports using tools such as PowerBI and macro-excel.Β 
  • Assists with budgeting, forecasting and ad-hoc reporting.
  • Responds to financial inquiries on a regular basis to assist Operations, Accounting, and RCM teams.
  • Assist with physician compensation reporting.
  • Handles confidential material on a regular basis and is responsible for protecting the confidentiality of such information.
  • Organizes own work schedule and establishes priorities for the completion of projects within guidelines from management.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Licensing/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or appropriate field of study or equivalent experience required

Experience:

  • Five (5) or more years of health care finance, analytics, or financial analysis experience.Β  Highly desired experience in multi-unit and healthcare industry.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must possess good analytical abilities, including the ability to identify issues, problems, and solutions.
  • Mathematical aptitude, including the ability to build formulas for performing analysis
  • Skill in gathering and reporting informationΒ 
  • Must display teamwork attitude
  • Must have good time management and the ability to meet deadlines and other requirements set by the management team
  • Ability to work and think independently with limited supervision
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting software (PowerBI, Sage).

Base pay is based on market location and will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that NPH provides to compensate and recognize our staff for their work.
