Description

Our company has an opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team located in New Berlin, WI. This position has a combination of traditional accounting (month end closing, global consolidation, etc.) as well as financial planning and analysis (budgeting, variance analysis, etc.). The successful candidate will have strong technical accounting skills, the ability to communicate cross functionally and the desire to identify and execute process improvement initiatives within the company. PRIMARY ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Corporate Accounting
    • Owner of global Hyperion financial consolidation process and system enhancement
    • Participate in month-end closing process including preparation and review of various journal entries and account reconciliations
    • Serve as primary point of contact for annual financial audit activities
    • Coordinate with international business units for month end close submissions and technical accounting matters
    • Assist CFO and Corporate Controller in assessing and executing technical accounting matters as well as with financial planning and analysis activities
    • Drive continuous improvement within the financial statement close and consolidation processes
    • Ensure proper internal control procedures are in place and operating effectively for financial statement close activities
    • Perform all other duties and tasks, as assigned
  2. Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Prepare monthly management financial packages in partnership with CFO to be distributed to executive team and board of directors
    • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements for external stakeholders
    • Partner with global finance leads to develop 13 week rolling cash forecast and weekly analysis
    • Oversee operational accounting and analysis of LSI business unit, including manufacturing variances, overhead absorption, and inventory control
    • Analyze financial results of LSI business and communicate information to GM and Corporate Controller
    • Partner with LSI GM to drive operational performance improvement based on issues identified
    • Partner cross-functionally with various LSI teams to develop the annual budget and ad hoc financial forecasts

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  2. Minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience, or 3 years corporate financial reporting experience
  3. Certified Public Accountant preferred
  4. Advanced knowledge of GAAP Accounting principles
  5. Strong time management skills
  6. Ability to effectively communicate with various functions and leaders
  7. Hyperion consolidation software experience preferred
