Marketing Analyst

Avid Marketing Group (AMG) is seeking a dynamic Senior Marketing Analyst with a strong analytics and business intelligence background to join our Analytics team. Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), Alcoholic Beverage industry, and/or Shopper Marketing is desired, but not a requirement. The ideal candidate will be an Excel power-user who can translate numbers into stories in PowerPoint.Β

Position Overview:

Efficiently generate program performance results and contribute analytical insights as to why the program performed the way that it did. Contribute strategic insights on how to run best-in-class promotions. Produce deliverables in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner. Partner with both AMG’s clients and account management teams to provide value-added analyses and insights. The Senior Marketing Analyst will lend their experience to mentoring the Marketing Analytics team, training new team members, and managing the day-to-day workflow.

Primary Responsibilities*:

  • Oversee day-to-day departmental workflow. Ensure that everything that needs to get done is getting done.Β 
  • Work with the Marketing Analytics team to make sure everyone has the tools/knowledge needed to complete analyses.
  • Track and evaluate program results vs. benchmarks - proactively making recommendations to stakeholders
  • Provide hands-on support to AMG’s internal teams and clients with program estimates, tracking, reporting and performance insights of AMG-managed programs
  • Deliver monthly and/or quarterly aggregated results in PowerPoint
  • Contribute to developing strategic marketing plans & budgets for clients through data analysis and industry tracking
  • Contribute to research and analysis to support client recommendations and presentations
  • Collaborate with others throughout agency and seek continuous improvement and standardization of products/services
  • Partner with AMG team with special projects as needed

Requirements

  • 4-8 years of relevant experience in Analytics/Business Intelligence, and a related college degree
  • Ability to analyze & interpret large quantities of data from multiple sources and summarize key insights/learnings
  • Excel power-user and PowerPoint proficient
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to thrive in a dynamic, deadline-driven business environment and can work both individually and as part of a team with limited supervision
  • Comfortable learning different reporting sources/systems
  • Ability to question status quo and drive greater data, insights, and process efficiencies
  • Highly organized, attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency
  • Knowledge around shopper marketing, In-store retail execution, CPG industry, digital marketing analytics and Syndicated Data (Nielsen/IRI) is a plus
  • Experience in Google Analytics and Power BI is a plus
