Role Description

Role Description:

We are seeking an experienced Tableau Dev Lead to join our team in a dual capacityβ€”as a consultant to business stakeholders, a leader guiding a development team, and a hands-on developer building enterprise-grade Tableau solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with excellent communication and leadership skills to deliver scalable, insightful, and business-driven analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a consultant to business stakeholders, understanding requirements, providing strategic guidance, and aligning Tableau solutions with business goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Tableau developers, ensuring adherence to best practices, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
  • Design, develop, and deploy advanced Tableau dashboards, reports, and visualizations that drive actionable insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, data engineering, data science) to define KPIs, metrics, and analytical needs.
  • Optimize Tableau dashboards for performance, scalability, and usability.
  • Ensure robust governance, version control, and security practices are followed for Tableau development.
  • Stay updated with the latest Tableau features, BI/analytics trends, and advise on adoption of emerging capabilities.
  • Provide training, guidance, and thought leadership to both technical and business users.

Technical Skills

  • 12+ years of overall IT experience with at least 7+ years in BI/Analytics and 5+ years hands-on experience in Tableau.
  • Proven experience in leading Tableau development teams and managing enterprise-wide BI projects.
  • Strong expertise in Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server/Online, Tableau Prep, and governance best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL, data modelling, ETL processes, and integrating Tableau with multiple data sources (cloud/on-prem).
  • Experience in consulting roles with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to handle complex data scenarios and large datasets.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to balance hands-on development with team leadership and client consulting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Synapse, BigQuery).
  • Knowledge of Python/R integration with Tableau for advanced analytics.
  • Tableau certification (Desktop Certified Professional, Server Certified Associate) is a strong plus.
  • Previous experience in Life Sciences & Healthcare industries preferred.
