We are looking for a Tableau Developer based in Latin America to work on a long-term project for one of our clients, a software company headquartered in Virginia, US.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-impact, scalable Tableau dashboards and reports for consumption by executive leadership, department heads, and operational teams.
  • Collaborate with data engineers to establish self service datasets that can be used by business owners to develop their own reports, establishing an access point to a single source of truth.
  • Partner closely with business owners to gather requirements, understand their critical business metrics (KPIs), and translate these needs into technical specifications and elegant visualizations.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure data sources are optimized for Tableau performance, integrity, and scalability.
  • Establish and enforce best practices for Tableau dashboard development, including visualization standards, security, performance optimization, and proper documentation.
  • Utilize Tableau’s advanced features (parameters, calculated fields, level of detail (LOD) expressions) to enable complex analysis and interactive user experiences.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for Tableau, providing support to end-users to promote data literacy and self-service analytics across the organization.

Requirements

  • Advanced Level of English.
  • 5+ years of professional experience working exclusively with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud in an enterprise environment.
  • Proven ability to build highly performant, complex, and user-friendly executive dashboards across multiple business domains (e.g., financial reporting, sales pipeline, engineering metrics, HR/people data).
  • Expert proficiency in SQL for querying, aggregating, and manipulating large datasets.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience connecting Tableau to various data sources (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Azure SQL, etc.).
  • Familiarity with CRM or ERP systems such as Salesforce or NetSuite.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts toΒ non-technical business users and executives.
  • Demonstrated experience with data governance, security protocols, and administering Tableau Server/Cloud environments.
  • Tableau Certified Professional (or equivalent certifications).

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related fields.
  • Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker).
  • Familiarity with Python or R for advanced data manipulation or statistical analysis.
