The Tableau Developer I plays a key role in supporting the organization’s data visualization and reporting needs. This position is responsible for building and maintaining Tableau dashboards, diagnosing bugs, ensuring consistency across visualizations, and managing user access. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of data visualization best practices and a strong attention to detail. This role involves collaboration with internal teams to deliver accurate, insightful, and user-friendly dashboards that support data-driven decision-making. The role also includes supporting the company’s external reporting portal hosted on Tableau Cloud.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Tableau dashboards and reports based on business requirements.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot bugs or performance issues in Tableau workbooks.
  • Ensure consistency in layout, formatting, and data logic across dashboards.
  • Apply Tableau and data visualization best practices to ensure clarity, usability, and performance.
  • Set up and manage Tableau user accounts, roles, and permissions.
  • Support and maintain the external reporting portal hosted on Tableau Cloud.
  • Ensure external dashboards are accurate, secure, and aligned with branding and data governance standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective visual solutions.
  • Perform data validation and quality assurance checks.
  • Document dashboard functionality, data sources, and user guides.
  • Support ad hoc reporting and data requests.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Paysign’s products, services, and industry regulations.
  • Β·Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Cloud.
  • Basic proficiency in SQL and data querying.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of data visualization principles and dashboard design best practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Internship or academic experience with Tableau or data visualization tools preferred.
  • Exposure to user access management and role-based permissions is a plus.

Working Conditions

  • Work is generally performed within an indoor office environment utilizing standard office equipment.Β 
  • General office environment requires frequent sitting; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse; walking and standing for long periods of time; and lifting of less than 20 pounds.
