Job Description:

This job is responsible for ensuring operational data is fit for purpose, defining controls, and monitoring processes are in adherence to enterprise data management standards. Key responsibilities include triaging and remediating data incidents, performing data analysis, training new users, and performing impact analysis stemming from data updates. Job expectations include helping in defining access and ownership of data by domain, conducting quality control, and overseeing data maintenance.

Team Specific Job Description:

The Artificial Intelligence Policy Governance team is seeking a Business Control Specialist to support governance and oversight activities.Β  Key responsibilities include policy governance for a large, complex department or business unit.Β  Areas of responsibility include support of AI tollgates, process management, and thematic analysis.Β  May consult with senior management to share performance metrics and risk items.Β 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures data is accurate, complete, and fit for performing data analyses through various testing procedures and data controls which help to identify business insights fit for purpose for a particular product set
  • Develops and executes on Enterprise Data Management policies and standards, works across teams to ensure adherence, serves as a key point of contact for all topics related to data compliance, and manages operational elements of the (Enterprise Data Strategy Governance and Operations (EDSGO) relationship
  • Manages data related incidents and identifies, communicates, and resolves or escalates issues as needed. Data inquiries include questions related to data issues, availability of data, and potential sourcing alternatives to inform
  • Develops, manages, and executes on controls, ensuring tracking, monitoring, and resolution of any control breaches with data platform
  • Partners with Business and Technology functions to drive the development of business and functional requirements documents and ensures strategic upstream resolution for data related incidents
  • Executes/Facilitates critical policy governance activities
  • Ensures that key risks, Process / Policy metrics, and desktop procedures are fully documented and maintained
  • Interprets large amounts of data, synthesize multiple analysis into a coherent message, and translate into actionable insights
  • Provides support to FLU/CF partners on matters related to the Artificial Intelligence Enterprise Policy
  • Familiarity with Model Risk Governance and AI Governance
  • Experience with Data tools to aggregate and visualize data from across different tools.Β  Some Examples are Tableau, Excel Power Query and SQL (or similar relational database).
  • Applies business knowledge to solve business problems and create new opportunities
  • Strong relationship, verbal and written communication and influencing skills
  • Working knowledge of process management including use of Visio, POP, ORCIT key measures and underlying data.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 3+ years’ experience in a Policy Governance, Quality Assurance, Control Function, or Risk Management role.
    • Understanding of AI capabilities and application (use cases)
    • Strong data collection, analysis, and reporting skills
    • Policies, Procedures, and Guidelines Management
    • Strong project skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
    • Effectively communicates with managers, peers and business partners on deliverables, timelines and support needed from them
    • Analysis of quality results to pinpoint trends, themes, or areas requiring attention
    • Highly organized, motivated, team-player, intellectually curious and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

    Desired Qualifications:
