What's the Job?
As a VP, Data Analyst and Reporting, you will be reporting directly to the Head of Portfolio Company Data Operations. This team oversees the collection of internal financial data from across a portfolio of over 300 private investments. You will be responsible for overseeing a large group of these investments related to a particular geographic area.
This is a hands-on role and you will be responsible for:
Overseeing the collection of the relevant financial data using SQL/Python;
Standardizing, validating and analyzing the data for quality control; and
Producing and presenting reports (data manipulation and visualization) using PowerBI and/or Tableau.
Finally, you will be working closely with the Head of Portfolio Company Data Operations to work on ad-hoc strategic projects. This group is growing rapidly and expanding and there are many new projects and initiatives that are frequently arising. You will be working with them to oversee, execute and manage these data-related projects.
This is an on-site position 5 days a week in their Manhattan office.
What Skills Do You Need?
ā¢ Strong SQL and/or Python experience for data collection and manipulation purposes.
ā¢ Data visualization experience (PowerBi, Tableau).
ā¢ Stakeholder interaction experience with senior management and leadership.
ā¢ Excellent communication skills and interest in interacting with stakeholders.
ā¢ You ideally have a background and knowledge of financial data, audit, or M&A.
