JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary 
This position is responsible for serving as the primary executor of Valley Queen’s workflow automation and administrative AI pilot program. The Workflow Automation Business Analyst sits at the intersection of administrative operations, data organization, and low‑code technology, focusing on improving and modernizing office‑side workflows through structured data, automation, and responsible use of AI‑enabled tools.


Essential Functions

  • Conduct discovery interviews and process observations across departments to identify automation opportunities.
  • Evaluate and prioritize workflow projects based on impact, feasibility, urgency, and data readiness.
  • Map current‑state processes and design future‑state workflows.
  • Build and deploy solutions using Microsoft PowerApps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
  • Leverage AI productivity tools to accelerate design and documentation.
  • Coordinate with IT to ensure security and data governance compliance.
  • Train end users and drive adoption of new workflows.
  • Track pilot performance and prepare leadership status reports.
  • Document solution designs for replication and scaling.
  • Recommends solutions that materially impact administrative efficiency.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company information.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
This job operates primarily in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment and technology. Occasional interaction with operational or plant teams may be required to understand workflows and validate solutions.

Physical Demands
The position requires sitting, standing, or walking for extended periods. The employee may need to lift or move office items up to 25 pounds occasionally.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, onsite role located in Milbank, SD. Regular work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with flexibility as needed.

Travel
Occasional overnight travel may be necessary for training and development.

Required Education, Experience & Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Operations, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

3–5 years of experience in a business analyst, administrative process improvement, or operations coordination role.

Demonstrated hands-on experience building solutions using Microsoft PowerApps.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and office productivity tools.

Proven ability to document, analyze, and improve administrative or clerical workflows.


Preferred Education, Experience & Certifications
 Experience with Microsoft Dataverse or other relational database platforms.

Familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate for approvals, notifications, and workflow automation.

Experience using AI productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot or similar platforms.

Exposure to document management, form digitization, or structured data capture initiatives.

Experience in food manufacturing or another regulated industry is a plus.

Spanish language proficiency preferred.
